1- Booking: 

Once you have made a provisional booking, we issue a contract and your booking will be confirmed if ESCAPADE receives your deposit within 7 days of sending you this contract.  Otherwise the contract is considered void, and the accommodation will be put on sale again.  For bookings made less than 30 days in advance, full payment must be made at the time of booking.  We accept “chèques vacances”.


2- Arrival: 

Guests must arrive at the time and date stated, or within 24 hours thereof.  Unless you notify ESCAPADE of any change, your booking will be cancelled after this time and no refund will be possible.

During summer school holidays, rentals run from Saturday to Saturday, from 4 pm on the day of arrival until 10 am on the last day.  If you arrive before 4 pm, your accommodation may not be ready.  Our brochure sets out the alternative rental periods that are available outside of this peak season.

We do not offer any refunds in the event of early departure.

Full board: Unless otherwise specified in your booking contract, the first meal is dinner on your day of arrival and the last is lunch on your day of departure.  However, if you explain your requirements at the time of booking, we may be able to adapt these arrangements to fit in with your travel plans (any supplementary cost incurred is to be paid on site).

Reception in our holiday accommodation is open until 8 pm and you must arrive before then.


3- Cancellation:

There is a cancellation charge corresponding to the number of days left before the booking was due to commence:  *

  • More than 45 days: 5% of the total amount; 
  • 45 – 31 days: 25% of the total amount; 
  • 30 – 11 days: 50% of the total amount; 
  • 10 days or less: 100% of the total amount.

We will consider your booking to be cancelled if you fail to arrive within 24 hours of the start time of your booking, without notifying us; or if you relinquish or cut short your stay.


4- Modifications: 

In the event that ESCAPADE or one of our contractors needs to make any substantive modification to the terms of your stay prior to the start date of your booking, we will notify you.  Within 7 days of this notification, you are entitled to: either cancel your booking and receive a full refund of monies paid, or accept the modified booking by signing an amendment to the contract, which will set out the new terms and any price changes that these entail.


5- Options: 

You are responsible for looking after your accommodation during your stay, and for ensuring that it is clean when you leave it to the next occupiers.  For your convenience, we offer an optional cleaning service for a supplementary fee: ask for details at Reception.

You can also rent cots and high-chairs from Reception.


6- What's included: 

At Meymac, Montendre les Pins, Buis les Baronnies or Verdun: Rental accommodation is furnished and equipped.  Bedlinen and towels are not provided (can be hired on site).

At Vaison la Romaine: Rented rooms have toilet and bathroom; bedlinen and towels are supplied; beds are not made.  Breakfast is not included (can be ordered when you book).

In full or half board:  Accommodation type is contingent on the number of guests.  Bedlinen and towels are supplied (unless otherwise specified in the booking contract or quotation).  There will be no refund for meals which are ordered, but not taken.


7- Deposit: 

On arrival you will be asked for a € 160 deposit.  This will be refunded on departure, on condition that your accommodation has been left clean and there has been no damage or loss to the equipment.  An inventory will be taken on your day of arrival and again on your day of departure.  Should we be unable to carry out an inventory because you leave prematurely, or at night-time, your deposit will be retained.  We will return any outstanding sum to you once we have ascertained what, if any, deductions need to be made for cleaning, loss or damage.  Should you decide to depart without us being able to carry out an inventory, you are accepting  ESCAPADE's right to retain part or all of your deposit on these conditions.


8- Insurance: 

Rental rates do not include personal insurance, repatriation or cancellation cover.  Our facilities managers cannot be held responsible for theft or damage to personal items, whether occurring inside or outside the rental accommodation.  We advise guests not to bring any valuable items or large sums of money.  During their stay, guests are protected by our public liability insurance which covers any physical or material damage they might suffer and for which ESCAPADE is held liable.


8a: Cancellation insurance: 

With our partners Mondial Assistance, ESCAPADE strongly advises you to take out cancellation cover.  Insurance is optional and we will be happy to arrange it for you - just ask.


9- Tourist tax: 

All holiday rentals are legally subject to 'Taxe municipale de séjour', to be paid on site.


10- Animals: 

Pets are allowed at all our facilities except for Buis les Baronnies, Les 7 Laux and Bellefontaine.  Strict rules apply: one animal per rental unit, vaccination certificate to be provided, etc. (please refer to our brochure for full details)


11- Complaints: 

Any complaint about your stay must be sent by registered letter with recorded delivery within 15 days of the end of your stay.
