What to see here
Meymac is rich in history and culture; sights include the famous Halle, the Abbey of Saint-André, a contemporary Arts Centre, an archaeological museum, a distillery, country markets in the villages of the Plateau de Millevaches, and the art and crafts fair.

Visit the Dordogne Gorges by gabare (the region's traditional flat-bottomed boats), marvel at Auvergne's many volcanoes and the Vulcania theme park, see Neuvic lake, Bort-les-Orgues and Vassivière, Brive and the Basse-Corrèze, the Haras (stud farms) of Pompadour and Uzerche, Salers, the Cantal and Monédières massifs.
